Hormonal Cosmetics - Aesthetic Endocrinology:
The endocrine changes that accompany ageing, menopause and andropause are most apparent in the skin, mucous membranes and hair.
Sex hormones play a pivotal role in virtually all cutaneous cellular functions (e.g., microcirculation, collagen synthesis, hydration and cellular regeneration).
Imbalanced hormone levels accelerate skin ageing more than any other single factor.
Regular, low-dose topical use of bioidentical hormones is associated with positive, regenerative effects on the skin: dryness and wrinkling are reduced, while dermal collagen content and cutaneous perfusion improve markedly.
In aesthetic endocrinology, the topical formulation (vehicle) must fundamentally differ from that used in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, as the therapeutic goal is to retain the hormones within the skin rather than achieve systemic absorption.
Hormonal cosmetics are available by prescription only.

Nutricosmetics:

Crinkles, impure skin, dry or oily skin, dull complexion – these skin issues can be partly caused by insufficient micronutrient intake.
The skin is the largest sensory organ in the human body and also the most important one for metabolism and detoxification. Stress, pollution, UV radiation, unbalanced diet and smoking significantly increase the skin's need for micronutrients to neutralize emerging free radicals.
Targeted use of micronutrients and orthomolecular substances is a strategy against premature skin aging in cosmetology and dermatology.
Beautiful skin, shiny hair, and solid fingernails are visible signs of optimal micronutrient supply.
